First of all, we wish you and your families a very happy new year and hope that this year will bring
new opportunities and good health for all.
Current Covid-19 crisis had affected transplantation rates globally, which are now gradually picking
up. With resumption in transplant activities, we plan to do a virtual transplant update this time. The
theme is `Transplant Immunosuppression- Current controversies and Future outlook.
Science is never an absolute truth, and we hope to address some of these conflict areas through
dialogues on certain controversial topics like use of induction agent, best maintenance regimen for
kidney transplant, the current status of m-Tor inhibitors and once a day tacrolimus in kidney
transplant etc. The format of this meeting would be mostly debates followed by panel discussion by
experts on each of these topics.
