  • He is also known for his role in getting the HIV Organ Policy Equity Act (or HOPE Act) signed into law.
  • He has featured in the Baltimore Sun, Science (magazine), Time Magazine, and The New York Times.
  • He has received many awards including Julius Jacobson Promising Investigator Award, American College of Surgeons and John Merrill Award in Transplantation.
  • His main area of research are- safety of living kidney donors, kidney paired donation, desensitization and transplantation from HCV and HIV positive donors.
