- She is president-elect of the American Society for Histocompatibility and
Immunogenetics (ASHI) as well as a member of ASHI's directors training review
and credentialing committee.
- She has special interest in luminex technology and study of HLA epitopes

developing a mathematical model to facilitate a nationwide Kidney Paired
Donation program, both in the US and Canada.
- He is also known for his role in getting the HIV Organ Policy Equity Act
(or HOPE Act) signed into law.
- He has featured in the Baltimore Sun, Science (magazine), Time Magazine,
and The New York Times.
- He has received many awards including Julius Jacobson Promising Investigator
Award, American College of Surgeons and John Merrill Award in Transplantation.
- His main area of research are- safety of living kidney donors, kidney paired
donation, desensitization and transplantation from HCV and HIV positive donors.
